I would like to take this opportunity to tell you a little about the Area Housing Forums. There are five of these and any of our tenants, residents and leaseholders are welcome to attend. Each of the five forums represent one of the following five geographical areas.

Atherton, which I chair, meets every 2 months on a Monday morning at different venues;

Leigh, which is chaired by Kevin Burgan, meets every 2 months on Thursday evening at Leigh Town Hall;

Platt Bridge, which is chaired by Joanne Bennett, meets every 2 months on a Tuesday afternoon at Abram Community Centre;

Wigan, which is chaired by Pat Riley, meets every 2 months on a Wednesday afternoon at Wigan Town Hall;

Pemberton, which is chaired by John Michaels, meets every 2 months on Friday mornings at different venues. We would love to see you at one of these meeting and listen to your views and concerns.

We also have an Older Persons and Sheltered forum, which is chaired by Marie Blundell and meets every 2 months on Wednesday mornings at different Sheltered schemes. This forum is particularly based on the issues affecting our older tenants;

If you would like to attend please contact us on FREEPHONE 0800 389 7652 at no cost to yourself, or you could ring our Contact Centre on (01942) 705040 who will be happy to assist. I should also mention that each of the forums has a delegated budget and access to other budgets, which we, the tenants, can spend on the estates. The forums have all funded different initiatives including alley gating, litter bins, security measures, street lighting etc., so come along to find out more.
