Eviction For Anti Social Family

36 year old mother-of-four Janine Johnson finally lost her home in Maple Crescent, Westleigh, last week following legal action by Wigan & Leigh Housing.

Ms Johnson was already subject to a suspended possession order issued by the courts in December 2005 for numerous incidents of anti-social behaviour, including criminal drugs offences relating to her partner Clifford Orme.

Wigan & Leigh Housing returned to court following more recent reports and evidence that conditions of the order were being broken. Two of her sons had also been involved in anti-social behaviour on the estate.

Chief Executive of Wigan & Leigh Housing, Ashley Crumbley says:

“This case has been ongoing for a number of years and I am pleased that with the help of our partners and the local community we have finally been able to rid the estate of this problem family.

“Better neighbourhoods is something we all aspire to and I hope this sends out a clear message that we will not tolerate criminal activity and anti-social behaviour on our estates.”
