How would you repair or replace your personal belongings and furniture if they were stolen or damaged by fire, flood or vandalism? If you do not have a contents insurance policy to claim on, it would be out of your own pocket.
However, Wigan Council can help. It runs an affordable scheme* exclusive to council tenants. If you successfully apply between now and 31 December 2010 you will be eligible for our special offer*, where you can get a £5 voucher to use to open a savings account with either Welcome Credit Union or Unify.
