Wigan Council can help as it runs its own scheme* for its' tenants. As standard the policy* will insure your furniture, belongings and decorations against theft, fire, vandalism and water damage, and you also have the option to add on the extended accidental damage cover for a little bit extra.

Paying by monthly direct debit
For piece of mind you can pay by direct debit. Just click on the link below to download the direct debit form, then complete it and enclose it with the completed application form when you return it to us. If you only wish to pay your contents insurance by direct debit, please write on the form at the top "Insurance Only". If you successfully apply and you already pay your rent by direct debit, then this will be amended to take into account the weekly premiums.
